The Site belongs to the Nambe tribe of the Nambe Pueblo in New Mexico. The existing site holds a governer’s office. The governor wants to redevelop the site into a Cultural Center for the Nambe Pueblo. The core strategy of our design was to integrate the belief of the round earth which is shown in our site planning. We decided to use a combination of Adobe and Rammed earth as they are humble to the context of New-Mexican Architectural style. These materials are also vernacular to New Mexico.
